Paul V. Orazio, CFP®

Financial Planner, President and Co-Founder

President and co-founder of Orazio Financial Services, Paul began his financial services career in 1983. He is a securities licensed representative, general securities principal, and a life, disability, and long-term care insurance agent. Paul received his CFP® certification in 1987, obtaining a knowledge base in investment, retirement, and estate planning. The client-centric focus of the CFP® Code of Ethics became the foundation for the formation of Orazio Financial Services.

Working with more than 400 client families, Paul combines more than three decades of knowledge and experience with the personal touch that defines his investment philosophy and planning strategies. He has served on several industry boards, including those of his broker/dealers, Nathan & Lewis and National Planning Corporation. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), has been a contributing editor to a variety of professional publications, and has appeared on CNNfn.

Paul's commitment to his community extends beyond his impact on his clients. In 1993, Paul graduated from Leadership Rockland and served several years on its board of directors. He was also selected to join the board of directors of Volunteer Counseling Service (VCS), presiding for two years as its president from 1994-1995. He later received the "David A Kurland Community Service Award" from VCS in 2001. Most recently, he served as the finance committee chair for the Rockland Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit local charities and scholarships. Other boards Paul has served on include the Suffern Free Library and the Rockland Conservatory of Music.

Louis serves as the lead portfolio manager for all assets at Orazio Financial Services.  He also supports the retirement, estate, tax, and insurance planning efforts for all client accounts.  In support of this role, he became a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder in June 2018 and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in July 2019.  In addition, he holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations, as well as life, accident, health, and long-term care insurance licenses.

In 2023, Louis published his first book, Strength in Numbers.  The story follows three women as they overcome obstacles in their financial and personal lives.  It is written much like the TV show This Is Us and is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Louis is a proud Nittany Lion, having graduated from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University in 2009 with a major in finance and a minor in mathematics.

Prior to joining Orazio Financial Services, he worked as an ERP consultant for IBM, an insurance agent for AXA Advisors, and a financial solutions advisor for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  Each of these experiences helped shape his approach to delivering best-in-class service to clients while maintaining candor and a welcoming environment.

Outside the office, Louis is an active runner. Most recently, he completed the Philadelphia Half Marathon in 2015, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the TCS New York City Marathon in 2017, raising money for the Arthritis Foundation.  This year he'll be on the road again in Philadelphia for the Broad Street 10-miler, raising funds for the American Cancer Society.
